Athlitikos Omilos Platania Chanion (commonly referred to as Platanias F.C. or simply Platanias) is a Greek football club based in Platanias, Chania. The association was founded in 1931.

In 2009, they promoted to Gamma Ethniki. The following season, Platanias finished 5th in the 2010–11 Football League 2, but gained promotion due to Koriopolis, when many teams were relegated from the Football League.

In 2012, Platanias were promoted to the Superleague for the first time in their history, after winning the promotion play-offs of 2011–12 Football League
